costs and market-specific addons if requested. Local agents would add the
costs of making the cars locally compliant, plus adding whatever premium
THEY felt their local market would accept (Agents outside the UK had less
competition from other Agents than Agents in the UK.)
However, since the passing of Mr. Morgan and the drop in the proportion
of production delivered to the UK, the company changed its traditional
pricing policy. Classic Morgans shipped outside the UK are now priced at
large premium to UK Classic Morgans. For example, a 4/4 Sports, which is
a "package only" model, costs 31,200£ in London and 37,300£
in Paris only 200 miles away. The bulk of the Morgan product goes to LHD
nations. Morgan no longer publishes its LHD Classic prices on its website.
This Factory pricing premium applies to Classic Morgans only. Other
non-Classic models are priced the same as they are in the UK. The
bulk of non-Classic 4-wheel Morgans are sold in the UK.
